Everyone knows that there are must-have clothing basics that we all need in out closets! But, these basics can be so difficult to come by. So, we've put together a guide for you on some must-have closet basics!

Denim
A pair of well-fitting, comfortable, neutral denim pants are the ultimate closet staple everyone should have. The perfect pair can be hard to find, but once you do, you have the perfect item for just about any outfit. They can be worn day after day. Sweatpants are great and all, but denim is truly forever. This versatile closet item can be a relaxed, high-waist straight-leg pair that looks as chic with a pair of pumps as it does with sneakers.
If you still haven't found your perfect pair, here are a few great options for you to try.
Shoes
Your perfect shoe just depends on your personal preference. Some prefer a simple flat, others big chunky boots. Decide your favorite style of shoe to wear, and get yourself a high-quality, neutral shoe that will last you a very long time. If you prefer the ankle boot, it is the shoe for any season that’s way easier to slip into. Go for a peep-toe style in the warmer months and a closed-toe style in the cooler months. Flats or heels will never disappoint you if paired with the outfit of your choice, whether that be a skirt, a dress, or jeans. If you prefer a simple flat it is a jack-of-all-trades shoe and lands the right look for anything from a board meeting to a grocery run. Or, if you prefer a classic pair of black pumps, they will never fail you or your outfit. They’re the perfect shoe option to wear for your 9-to-5, happy hour, a nice weekend date night, or jeans for a girls night out.
Cardigans
This may seem more like a winter piece, but it is also perfect in the fall! When it's chilly in the mornings and evenings, but warm in the afternoons. A cardigan, whether it’s thick or thin, will add instant polish to any look, regardless of what you’re wearing underneath. A comfortable cardigan can be paired with a jeans and and a sneakers or any nice outfit of your choice. Just something neutral that you feel great in. It is a must-have to layer and slip on and off. Jackets
Whether it’s a jean jacket, a fluffy winter coat, or a statement jacket, it is an essential piece for fall. It’s an easy way to turn jeans and a t-shirt, or jeans and a long sleeve sweater into a lively new look. Any way you style it, it will steal the show and give you incredible confidence that only the perfect outfit can give. A jean jacket is a timeless layering piece that can be worn season after season. A classic medium wash is the most versatile option. There are many ways to which you can style a denim jacket and get away with it. Whatever your jacket preference, I recommend having multiple different styles for any outfit you choose!
Dresses
I believe you can never go wrong with a good dress. Make sure you get a dress that fits you perfectly, Find a cute dress in your style that you can work with through all seasons. Will it look good layered? With a cute jacket or cardigan, you can really change the look of a dress for any season or occasion. With different styles of shoes? Pair yours with pumps for a dressy occasion or dress it down with fashion sneakers. Will it keep you warm? Cool? These should all be taken into account when looking for that perfect dress. Midis are the most versatile dresses you could own. The calf-length makes them comfortable enough to wear for casual activities and suitable for more formal occasions. Take your pick from classic shirtdresses, sweater-dresses, formal dresses, or simple dresses. Any dress can be dressed up or down. And, you can never go wrong having a little black dress for the right occasions.
Cute Tops
A great top can look like a simple shirt or a flowy blouse, just whatever you feel most comfortable in and can wear with anything. Pair it together with your other basic closet items and you will have a great outfit that you feel confident in. Having many different styles and colors is just what your closet needs! Cute tops that can be worn for work, dinner, or whatever your occasion might be. Take my advice... You can never have too many cute tops!
Sweaters
The perfect knit sweater works with everything—from a pair of broken-in boyfriend jeans for the weekend to a pleated, feminine skirt for a night out. If you find one you like, get one in every color. A neutral sweater will likely be the piece you reach for over and over again this fall. But, neutral doesn’t mean just brown or tan; it can be any shade that goes well with your skin tone and the rest of the pieces in your closet. Choose the hue that works for you and for the outfits you want to create, and it will get plenty of use.
